Dream Team Descriptions

These descriptions are to provide you with an idea of ways you may be asked to serve. Each team requires many people playing unique roles. Our Dream Team leaders are here to train you and equip you. Please consider each role as you select the team(s) you would like to join.

Audio/Visual

Responsible for all audio and visual engineering, production, set-up, maintenance and operation. This includes running sound systems, video recording and broadcast, and visual presentations.

Communications

Design and production of quality graphics and media in support of church ministry, as well as helping with our online communications through a variety of platforms. Monroe City Church will use graphics in our visual presentations, videos, social media posts, as well as mailers and other communications. Promote upcoming events and messages and coordinating a social media schedule with graphics, posts, and videos.

Facilities

Help with building maintenance and getting projects done around the Church building. This can vary from hanging curtains and setting up tables and chairs for events, to making the future visions for the church come to life. If you like to use tools and work behind the scenes, this is for you!

First Impressions

Responsible for setting the tone for all we do and the first impressions for all that attend MCC. The First Impressions Team is all about our guests! This group serves as greeters, information desk attendants, serve over church merchandise, parking attendants, and ushers. We only get one chance to make a great first impression!

Hospitality

Help our guests feel welcomed and appreciated! Hospitality team members may serve in a number of ways. Our "Brew Crew" maintains the coffee bar on Sunday morning services and church events. Our "Sparkle Team” makes sure Monroe City Church is stocked and clean for our guests to arrive. Hospitality team members may also be responsible for the coordination, preparation, and serving of food and refreshments at Church-sponsored gatherings.

Kid’s Church

Responsible for leading our children into a relationship with Jesus, through the teaching of God's Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is accomplished through an energetic, caring, safe environment where kids will engage in play, music, crafts, and Biblical lessons. Tasks may include nursery, toddlers, Kid's Church, check-in attendants, and greeters. Help us introduce the next generation to Jesus!

Next Steps

Support others in their next steps as a Christ-follower. This is where conversations happen to encourage others to take the next step in their journey, no matter where they are in their walk. This may include decisions about baptisms, child dedications, joining a small group or even starting to volunteering within the church. This can also include helping in logistics of baptism set up & tear down, as well as child dedication preparation.

Prayer

This group is responsible for covering MCC with prayer. This includes Back of House and Front of House prayer. Back of House prayer warriors are committed and scheduled to pray on their own over our church, pastors, leadership and congregation. Front of House prayer warriors are scheduled to pray with and for others at the end of Sunday services.

Safety

Responsible for the physical safety of Monroe City Church property and people attending meetings and events at our facility. This team provides protection of the parking lot, church facility, and children's center. This is accomplished through the physical presence of the safety team, as well as video surveillance. Additionally responsible for emergency procedures and response.

Special Needs

Work with our special needs families and kids in a variety of ways, from one-on-one class buddy to conversations about how we can support our families within Monroe City Church.

Technology

The Tech Team is responsible for all technical hardware and software used in church ministry. Laptops, tablets, monitors/tvs, networking, security systems, and the church administrative software.

Worship

Lead the congregation into worship through music and other creative expressions. If you sing or play an instrument, and feel that God is calling you to serve here, we want to know! Members of the Worship Team can serve in multiple capacities such as Sunday morning service, Children's Ministry, and at special events.

Youth Ministry

Lead our middle school and high school teenagers into a relationship with Jesus, through the teaching of God's Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is accomplished through Biblical lessons, reading of the Word, relationship building, and meaningful conversations that are relevant to teen life.
